Jessica Robinson to stand in for Steph Fearon 3 Nights Only
1Apparently Steph Fearon has a minor wrist operation booked for later in August and since Smokey Joe’s Cafe has extended, this leaves a few nights when Steph can’t perform at the Landor Theatre. But the great news is that another Dorothy from Over The Rainbow, none other than Jessica Robinson has been drafted in as a replacement.
Jessica Robinson will appear in Steph Fearon’s role from the 20th to the 22nd August 2010 while Steph recovers.
Jessica Robinson was described Andrew Lloyd Webber as “wonderful and quirky” and came within touching distance of playing the lead role in his production of The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz which is opening at The London Palladium next year.
“Over The Rainbow” contestant Jessica Robinson will take over from fellow Dorothy Stephanie Fearon in “Smokey Joe’s Cafe” for just three nights from the 20th to 22nd of August to allow Stephanie to have an operation on her wrist.
The self-proclaimed “wacky” Dorothy, Jessica Robinson, 18, from Middlesbrough just missed out on a semi final place despite an energetic, umbrella-wielding performance of the tongue-twisting classic ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ from Mary Poppins
Jessica was voted out in the sing-off, but Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber said:
I say this with the heaviest heart in the entire world, Jessica you are so wonderful and quirky, you’re a real star in the making.
